That plane was for the makercast giveaway so he didn’t keep it. a little bit after that he announced on his instagram page ( <–another link) that he was going to make 16 more of the infill block planes to sell.. This is a hefty infill plane. the wood body is a dark wood. there is minimal pitting. it has a nice brass piece holding the wedge and iron in place.. The body of a typical hand plane is a single metal casting. an infill plane, by contrast, is formed from metal plates (sole and sides) joined along the edges, or sometimes by a single piece of metal u-channel..
Finished up this block plane sized infill today. it is 6" x 1-3/4" with a 1-3/8" wide 3/16" thick blade bedded at 47-1/2 degrees. infill is east indian rosewood..
